Community Partnerships

We are proud to partner with a number of not for profit organisations to support humanitarian, social development, health and wellbeing causes.

We work together to create strategic partnerships and to create additional value through our collaboration. In addition to providing financial support, we work with our community and charity partners on specific projects and initiatives. Our current partners are Orange Sky, Delta Therapy Dogs and Fareshare.

Orange Sky Australia

Orange Sky Australia provides free mobile laundry and showers to people experiencing homelessness. The charity aims to positively connect communities, improve hygiene standards and restore dignity to people who are ‘doing it tough'. More than 40% of people experiencing homelessness access Orange Sky's services, which are facilitated by more than 1200 volunteers from 31 services operating across Australia. Orange Sky's estimated social impact in 2019-20 was $8.61 million dollars.

Most importantly, Orange Sky volunteers have engaged in hundreds of hours of conversations with people that are accessing the services to date, providing a positive opportunity for connection via genuine and non-judgmental conversation.

We are proud to be in the fourth year of our partnership with Orange Sky. Our funding supports 80 shifts supporting people doing it tough in the community. For two years now we have a group of passionate Roche volunteers who run a monthly Orange Sky shift in Sydney.

Delta Society Australia

Delta Society Australia has one core belief: that the human-animal bond remarkably improves our quality of life and leaves a lasting paw print on our hearts. The team at Delta promotes and facilitates positive interaction between people and companion animals which has been shown to improve overall health and wellbeing.

The program is the largest of its kind in Australia, with Delta’s devoted team of 1000+ volunteers and their special dogs making regular visits to healthcare facilities. The team brightens the lives of an estimated 20,000 Australians every week by spending time with patients and offering a chat, a floppy ear to listen and a paw to shake.

We are delighted to support the work of the Delta team, in particular the training and accreditation of new recruits to the team. In addition, last year a group of Roche volunteers conducted a series of experiments to collate data and analytics around Delta’s ‘Paws for Pressure’ program, with the aim of highlighting its effectiveness. The information collected throughout the experiment was overwhelmingly positive and provided Delta with factual evidence as to why their program works. The data is now used in the charity's corporate marketing materials.

FareShare

FareShare operates Australia’s largest charity kitchens in Melbourne and Brisbane. FareShare rescues surplus, quality food from supermarkets, farmers and other businesses – food that would otherwise be wasted. With the help of more than 1500 regular volunteers, FareShare provides more than 3.5 million free nutritious meals each year to people in need through charities such as soup vans, homeless shelters, women’s refuges and community food banks.

Our Melbourne employees have provided volunteer support at FareShare for a number of years. We've also provided additional financial support during the COVID-19 pandemic as demand for their services increased dramatically.
